Hi Class,
Please find below the websurvey live link.
Pls forward to as many genuine respondents in the target population as you can find. KIndly do not forget to mention two things:-
1. Your group name. The respondent has to enter the name of the group that has forwarded the survey to him/her.
2. The incentives for survey completion - both monetary and data/information related.
If you detect any obvious issues with anything in the survey - typos, logical errors etc, let us know. There is cope to correct typos etc even while the survey is open.
Pls remember, the survey closes midnight Thursday (11.59 pm on 4-Nov-10). All valid and complete responses from each group obtained till then are counted towards the group's credit for phase II.

Dear Prof,
ReplyDeleteFew questions. How do we figure out how many people have filled the form from our reference. It helps to know if the person you asked filled it or not so you can follow up with them.
Secondly few corrections in the form:
Q4: 29-25 years - Should be 20-25
Over 25 years
Q10: Does not have the option to write for Specify part:
d. Other Equities investments (please specify)
This is what I have been able to track.
Thanks and Regards
Saurav Atri
Thanks Saurav,
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated. Will take action as needed.
Shall ask AAs to download completed survey info and release stats on which group got how many submissions on Wednesday evening.
Sudhir
Some friend of other section has told me that in his section it was stated that responses for the survey should be from OUTSIDE ISB. But I am not sure I remember this statement in my section...
ReplyDeleteCould you please confirm if we are allowed to ask people in ISB to fill the survey or not?
Thanks
Carlos
Hi Carlos,
ReplyDeleteResponses from within ISB will be discounted for all groups except for those groups which have a significant presence of foreign or exchange students in them.
IT says IP address tracking will show how many responses were from within ISB and how many from outside.
Hope that clarifies.
Sudhir
Thank you very much... but then I have a follow up question. Is 1 "foreign" in 6 considered to be "significant presence"?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Carlos
Dear Prof,
ReplyDeletecan you let us know if this link is to be sent to non-India residents? A friend of mine told me that no city outside India has been listed as a response to one of the location based questions(example: Q #17 & 36).
Thanks,
Siddharth
Hi Carlos,
ReplyDeleteEvery team member is expected to bring in around 10 genuine, completed surveys.
Depending on the # of foreign/exchange students a team has, the expected # of outside-ISB surveys drops and the acceptable # of within-ISB surveys rises.
The reason for disfavoring within-ISB in general is sampling bias issues. We didn't have very many foreign students in MKTR last year. This year, however, the # is significant.

Hi Siddharth,
ReplyDeleteTrue, we didn't consider potential NRI populations - Indians currently outside but who will ultimately settle back home here in the long term.
I guess, the best would be to not choose anything in the city/state option for 'where do you currently live'. If however, realty investments are being planned outside India, it is really outside the scope of the survey itself.
Hope that clarifies.
Sudhir
Dear sir
ReplyDeleteCan we have the stats for completions by group released earlier? Tonight and then wed night? This will help us crank our efforts up in case we are not hitting the min numbers.
Best,
Sameer
Hi Prof:
ReplyDeleteSome comments I received after administering the survey:
"I have replied to survey but questioaire seems to be deigned for people below 60 yrs
Q3 yr you were born it does not cover earlier than 1940
Q4 how many yrs do you plan to retire there should be option for those already retired
Q12 how do you frequently invest in equities I believe it excludes MF. Many people invest when market is down or dont necessarily invest regularly
Some Questions abt Insurance were also not quite relevant"
Hi Sameer,
ReplyDeleteHave tried to accommodate your request.
Hi Nitin,
Tks for the pointers.
Sudhir
Thank you, sir! Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Sameer
