Update:
Folks, Piyush has raised an important question regarding phase I submissions in the comments section to which I have replied there. Kindly carry that conversation forward in the comments section in case you have any further queries or comments to add. I shall later make a separate blogpost to provide more detailed info on this matter.
Hi all,
ASA confirmed today that you will all be permitted to take your course-packs into the exam hall for the entire duration of the exam. And with good reason. The chicken coop case in the course pack *might* see some action in the exam. Again, 'might' is the operative word here, no guarantees something from there will land up. But if I were you, I'd not take chances with skipping a detailed read-through of the case. Just saying, only.
Do let me know if you're planning to use Wikis to coordinate group project activity.
And pls ensure JMP is up and loaded and ready before mid-term.
Sudhir.

Dear Professor,
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of queries. Please help me out.
we are in questionnaire design phase for the project. Should we work on the project scope document you had posted earlier, bcoz i remember you had mentioned in class that you would upload a revised version on the blackboard. Further what are the timelines and mode of submission of the questionnaire-is it a word doc and/or survey monkey questionnaire link on 25th/26th Oct depending on section class schedule.
Thanks for asking, Piyush.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of making midnight Wednesday the deadline for phase I submissions.
There will be 2 deliverables for phase I - (a) a websurvey URL that will be entered into a google form created for this purpose, and (b) the word doc of the same questionnaire that each group should email their section's AA - both before deadline expiry.
The submission will be graded - for quality, content, professional execution, etc. I will write down a more complete grading criteria list shortly.
Pls ensure the link is working and that the SKIPs coded in the websurvey work as advertised.

Oh, and yes, the project scope document on the blackboard is final. There is no updated version.

Dear Professor,
ReplyDeleteRegarding exam, if one is comfortable with excel solver and pivot, will JMP be required or add extra value
Regards
Sandeep
Hi Sandeep,
ReplyDeleteJMP is not required for the exam. Excel is enough.
