The venue is AC 7 LT and the Guest Lecture is at 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm on 4th Nov. The person speaking is Ms Rohini Abraham, VP of qualitative research at India's largest MKTR agency - IMRB.
Since the guest lecture is being held in a LT that won't hold all 4 sections, I'd like each group to nominate 2 people who will attend the guest lecture. Pls enter the names of 2 members fromeach group who will attend in the following google spreadsheet.
Google spreadhseet for nominating 2 group members for the guest lecture
Pls nominate people who would be interested in the qualitative aspects of MKTR as alos those interested in exploring the evolution and future trajectory of the MKTR scene in India. Ms Rohini comes with yrs of experience in this industry and would be the right person to ask s lot of pre-entrepreneurial questions about, IMHO.
Also, if fewer than 2 people from a group turn up for the guest lecture for any reason, pls be aware that your project marks could be affected as a result.
Questions and queries, let me know.

Hi all,
Have received requests from groups that want to send more than 2 people. However, with 43 groups, I suspect the LT won’t hold us all.
At the same time I’d rather people interested in the talk come rather than folk randomly doing time (pun not intended) because they happened to be nominated by their group.
So I have made an extra pair of columns in the google doc – for extra attendees from groups that have already nominated 2 people.

If there are groups that are unable to find even 2 people to send, pls contact the extra attendees and effectively ‘sell’ them your group’s seats in the talk. The extra attendee would sign in on your group’s name. However, if the extra attendee doesn’t turn up for any reason, your group risks project marks in that case.
Hope that is clear.
Email in case of any queries.

Dear Professor,
Hope you are enjoying the weekend.
Is it possible to hold this session in Khemka? In that case we will not have to restrict the number of students who want to attend this session.
Thanks!
Regards,
P
My response:
Hi P,
We (I and Sreenath) agonized over that a while.
Attendance is effectively optional and we don’t expect over 80-90 people overall to come in any case.
Khemka would have been overkill and a largely empty auditorium sends a bad signal to our honored guest.
Hence, this is the best compromise I could work out that maximizes ‘net social welfare’ as the economists would call it.

The extra attendee for a group option is awesome! I got a call to proxy for a group within 5 mins.
