Hi Sir,
If it isn't too much trouble, is it possible to conduct an SPSS tutorial covering the statistical analysis that we would be needing for the final project?
M
My response:
Hi M,
I think its a good idea but am not inclined to do it for a variety of reasons.
Am not sure given the tough schedule in the last week of term 5 for students, with people having multiple proj submission deadlines, how many will be able to come.
Secondly, IMO, SPSS being menu driven is fairly easy to navigate through. My expectation is that out of 6 people in every group, at least 1 or 2 would know different methods well.
Besides, if you still get stuck, asking other classmates not from your group about navigation of SPSS menus should not be a problem, IMHO.
The class is more about sharing intuition for what we are doing, what for and how to interpret the results, for what applications etc.

P.S.
I must also mention, that in my discussions with one of the groups, I unwittingly let on that secondary data is available on quantities from the doc sreenath sent and prices from carazoo.com - simply putting them together alongwith survey descriptives in a simple linear demand estimation exercise would yield enough information to comfortably backup any recommendations and answers made.
For the sake of fairness, am sharing the same with all the other groups here. Whether you choose to follow this route or not is upto you, though.
