Alright, one question coming up is about prior distribution of slide hard copies in the classroom.
I have no plan to do this for MKTR.
The lectures follow a plan and the plan relies on having janta apply their mind and take a stand on conceptual questions in the course of the lecture.
So there is this sequence in which concepts and questions occur, and prior distribution of slides effectively gives the answers away.
Sorry if this wasn't the answer you wanted to hear, but its not something I can do something about without disrupting the course plan.

ReplyDeleteI believe the main reason you are looking to distribute slides after class is so that the other sections do not have any advantage with the quickfire questions. However, cant the slide deck other than the quickfire questions be distributed before class (We have had this done for other subjects in the past). It is always better to make notes as and when you are discussing a particular slide.This makes it easier to connect the notes with the slides at a later time.
ReplyDeleteSudhir, I think your position is a valid one. Where we are coming from is when exams are declared to be open notes then there is a crazy amount of printing, photocopying happening. If that is not the case, the current plan works great.

Lecture 1 slides are on blackboard under 'course documents' already.
Did consider the option of 'sanitizing' the slides, so to say, by removing the quickfires beforehand but it will be messy and will have folks jumping ahead at every turn. Lets face it, we are an impatient people which is why we self select into B-school. Perhaps.
